SHARKS NETBALL
MISSION&GOALS
We aim to promote the sport of netball and to achieve this we cater for all levels and ages of netball.
In our clubs short history we have had the benefit of many strong, dedicated coaches and tireless administrators resulting in regular junior ‘A’ grade teams, over 20 rep players and of course, our Associations first Australian rep in a decade, Selina Gilsenan.
We believe we have stayed true to our original goal of being a safe, friendly Netball club, and are very proud of our record of consistently producing strong junior Netballers.
OUR AWARDS
All awards recognize the player with the highest percentage of overall improvement in all events.
Junior Coach/Senior Coach
In recognition of a coach who displays excellence in coaching within the Cronulla Sharks Netball Club.
Junior Umpire/Senior Umpire
In recognition of an umpire who demonstrates a desire to strive for excellence on court, shows consistency in performance throughout the season and continues to improve their knowledge of the game.
Manager
In recognition of a Manager who displays efficiency in Managing a team within the Cronulla Sharks Netball Club.
Senior Club Person
In recognition of a Senior Club Person who has contribution has been outstanding in one or more areas of our club. For example: coaching, umpiring, managing, executive position.

Cronulla Sharks Netball Club Inc. is affiliated with Sutherland Shire Netball Association SSNA.
Our club was born in 1982 as Cronulla Seagulls Netball Club with 2 members. They had hoped to provide a safe, friendly home for their expected 1 senior and 1 junior teams. By the end of registration day that year they had attracted enough players to form 7 teams. Based at Burraneer Bay School our club grew steadily to 25 teams, attracting girls and their mums in the area from Laguna St to Cronulla South Public Schools
Over the years thanks to committed, hard working members such as these, our club has steadily grown to 40 teams, mostly juniors. This has only been possible because of the hard work of our life members: Helen Atzemis, Debbie Feening, Daile Prior, Christine Jones, Jill Marshall, Leigh Cuncliffe, Amanda Brown, Lyn Draddy, Bronwyn Moar, Nicole Knight, Sue Woods and all our many volunteers.

Noted for her speed and consistency, Selina Gilsenan was first named in the Australian squad in 2002.
